AWANA
What do kids want after they’ve been to Awana? THEY WANT TO GO BACK! Why? Because Awana is fun! While kids are having fun, they’re learning and growing. Awana club meetings are jam-packed with life-changing experiences. The clubs are run by trained leaders with a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to help young people. The club materials are filled with verses from the Bible and guidelines to help kids memorize and understand them.
Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Lessons from the Bible teach them how to honor God in a sinful world.
The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. This is the end result but the method is FUN!
Awana meets at Northshore Bible Church on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm. Register today for our 2008-2009 Awana Club either at church or by calling 985 893-3284. The dues for the calendar year per child is $40, which includes a unifirm or $25 if your child already has a uniform. Awana begins September 10th, delayed one week due to Hurricane Gustav. Please make note of this on the 2008-2009-awana-calendar.pdf
