Why should a Christian submit to water baptism? Our Lord Jesus said in what is called the Great Commission, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I command you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20

To “make disciples” is the principle verb in the Great Commission. The three definite, present participles (going, baptizing, and teaching) explain the steps in Christ’s formula for making disciples. Baptism, therefore, is a step in Christ’s formula for making believers into disciples of His.

To dedicate means to set something or someone apart for God. Baby dedication is the parent’s expression of a desire to offer or set apart their child unto the Lord. We will provide an opportunity for parents to publicly thank God for their child and to ask His blessing on their endeavor to the faithful parents during our 10:30 AM Worship Service May 4.
