Our annual adult celebration is scheduled Saturday, December 13, 3 PM, at the Dakota Restaurant. After a delicious meal and great fellowship with our church family, we will move from the restaurant to the church for continued fellowship and caroling. Our evening should be complete by 6 PM. The cost is $30 per person.

Beginning Tuesday, September 23 at 7PM we will have a discussion of Bill Perkin’s book, “When a Good Man is Tempted.” The cost of the book is $12. Contact the church office at 893-3284 if you will be attending so we can order a book for you.
Join us Thursday nights, 7-8:30PM, from September 18 through October 30.
Members of the group are asked to read or listen to approximately 10 chapters of the Bible per week and gather once a week to discuss the selected text.
During this session we will read the books of Hebrews, Mark, Romans, 1 & 2 Peter, James, Jude, 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus.

What is a Small Group? It is a group of adults gathering in a home setting to study the Bible, pray, and share in Christian fellowship. We have several groups starting in the month of September and we encourage you to join. We are sure that you will profit from the content of the material studied and the relationships you will develop with others. Our course of study is Josh McDowell’s workbook, “Is Christ Really God.” The groups will meet for eight weeks. What do kids want after they’ve been to Awana? THEY WANT TO GO BACK! Why? Because Awana is fun! While kids are having fun, they’re learning and growing. Awana club meetings are jam-packed with life-changing experiences. The clubs are run by trained leaders with a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to help young people. The club materials are filled with verses from the Bible and guidelines to help kids memorize and understand them.
Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Lessons from the Bible teach them how to honor God in a sinful world.
The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. This is the end result but the method is FUN!
Awana meets at Northshore Bible Church on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm. Register today for our 2008-2009 Awana Club either at church or by calling 985 893-3284. The dues for the calendar year per child is $40, which includes a unifirm or $25 if your child already has a uniform. Awana begins September 10th, delayed one week due to Hurricane Gustav. The date of September 12 & 13, 2008 has been cancelled due to Hurricane Gustav. Returning Hearts Celebration on the ground of Angola Prison will be rescheduled. Watch for the new date to be announced.
It’s a day of games, activities and a salvation message. It’s an opportunity for fathers in Angola to reunite with their children, soak in the gospel message and rejoice in the Lord. This great day of renewal is possible with your help. Volunteers are needed to help with transportation, games, serving as family assistants and more.
